Reviews and Ratings
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms had such olde world charm with a huge comfy bed, beautiful blackout drapes, and a modern bathroom stocked with all the toiletries you could need. It was hard to leave the cozy bed to go enjoy the delicious breakfast served above the pub/restaurant. The location is outstanding, right outside the gate to the cathedral quarter, making it super convenient for exploring Salisbury. Just be mindful that parking is extra and off-site, but it's worth it for the central location and proximity to everything.
I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely amazing, right outside the gate to the cathedral quarter, making it super convenient for visiting tourist attractions. The quirky historical hotel oozes character, and I loved being close to pretty much everything in the city. The rooms were filled with great character and facilities; my room was enormous, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. However, the lack of proper air conditioning was a downside as the portable unit didn't quite do the job.
The hotel rooms were very clean, really well equipped, and felt luxurious, although they looked nothing like those depicted on the website. The location was perfect for viewing the cathedral, less than a 5-minute walk, but it was near to the air ventilation system of the restaurant, which was terribly noisy even with closed windows. The dining experience was very nice, with juice, cereal, toast, pastries, and a lovely plated breakfast served promptly, cooked fresh to order. The facilities were good, and the hotel is in easy walking distance of everything you need.
Our honeymoon trip at this hotel was truly special. The rooms were beautifully decorated with flower petals on the bed and a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. The modern bathroom and excellent TV added to the luxury. The two electric heaters kept the room cozy and comfortable. The only drawback was the noise from the road outside.
I had a one-night stay at this hotel and found it to be perfect for my needs. The rooms were spacious and had great character, despite being a bit noisy due to their proximity to the dining room downstairs and the street outside. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the Salisbury Cathedral, offering easy access to the downtown area. The dining experience was a bit lackluster with a limited menu, but the breakfast served promptly the next morning was tasty. Overall, a convenient choice for a short stay with some minor drawbacks.
I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the whole establishment, featuring nice beds and linens, new bathrooms, and convenient coffee and tea stations. Unfortunately, despite the great room amenities, the issue of smoke wafting into the room from courtyard smokers and the uncomfortably high temperature due to hot weather were notable drawbacks.
